Thanks for having your boy wear jeans with a belt, just like a real man. Way better than a tinker bell outfit...LOL

Nice shooting bench, does it break down for transport? Looks like it will fit in your truck, you could get one of those truck jib cranes that mount inside the rear of the bed. You could swing that out and lift it and swing it back in easily.👌

Ya lil man helped build it, he's always ready to put on Jeans and boots. This will fit in the truck, gonna be stationary at the farm once I pick a spot to drop it. Got several ideas where it should see 700 plus yard shots. A couple that reach a 1000 barely but those require a sidebyside to get to most likely. Gonna let it sit in the weather then either stain or paint it. Does not fold or detach. All 1 solid piece.

put wheels on the front legs as when you tip it the wheels will roll. you can either use 3 sided wedge with a handle on the back to tilt it and push/or pull. this way with the 3-sided wedge you can remove it as not to trip over it in the middle leg. are you going to leave it in place where you shoot at or bring it back with you when you leave each time? use either light weight ramps or 2x's or 4x's (2 pieces) as turn the table over and push it into the bed. the size is more of the issue on moving it than the weight, unless you have an issue with your back and/or neck? my neck issue keeps me from loading 18.4x42's tractor tires by myself (tire only, no wheel). i have some 50's that aren't much fun either!

great work on the bench as i'm sure he'll have fun using it also for years to come!

Good for you, keep taking him with you to the farm!👍

I wish I had of done that more with my son. Took me a lot of years to be able to talk to him. He's just learning to hunt with me now, 33 years old...never too late. ;)

That does look like a heavy SOB. I'm sure you and little man will make some great memories at it.

I have one that I've put a new top on a couple of times that's pretty heavy as well. I can move it with my tractor.

I built three benches out of 3/4 plywood, with bolt on threaded flanges, and DOM tubing, that are a little more portable and easier to move without help. They also work on uneven ground better than the one above.

The bucket with seat top is about the right height and I can fill it with bags and rests. The chair is pretty decent if you're going to sit a long time in a dog town and that's also what the umbrella is for. I need to figure out a good carrying system for everything.

I wouldn't make the bench ambidextrous if I was going to pack it into a dog town. I'd scale it down to probably 30"X 36". However, being one sheet cut in half and doubled up, there is plenty of room to spread out. I need to add cup holders and they'll be finished.

Daughter is learning to shoot and she is left handed but likes to shoot right handed. Thought I would set this up for everyone and just leave it at the farm.
