Both shot at same time, same rifle, everything is identical except one has thread protector and one has muzzle brake. I don't see how a brake can reduce sd.

What is the chambering? Not moving very fast for 140s. That one faster round really throws things off. Not enough shots for me to gather much. Interested to see what others say.

With only three shots per test, way too little data to actually come to a conclusion.

Next three of each could be opposite.
You could have had the best three rounds for one test, and the worst three rounds for the other. Shoot 20 of each and report back.
As mentioned, too little data points.
X3!

Too few data points. Seems a little slow. Higher ES may be more typical. Was this done with clean barrel? Was the group with the muzzle device shot first or second?

Staball 6.5 works best near max. Have you tried crimping or tighter necks? Perhaps a different powder may give you better ES/SD.

I agree with others that you sample may be too small. Additionally, I have observed SD's change with and without the use of a muzzle brake. SD can be further influenced particularly with shorter barrels, when the chosen powder's, burn rate and/or charge weight is not optimized for the barrel/bullet….With the power continuing to burn when it exits the primary section of the barrel….
