Compact stove advice

I'd agree with that on the Windburner. The MSR ignitor built into my Pocketrocket Deluxe has been a rockstar. The two in my Jetboils, not so much. One went DOA in short order the other is 50% on a good day. I'd still carry a lighter no matter what.

Good looking dog in your avatar @tops911! That a Drahthaar? I am looking for one. Going to go away from the Braque Auvergne's I have had to something a little tougher and more capable with waterfowl. Any connections for a good one? I've seen where some of the breeders are pushing for a little less crackhead on fur and less apt to fight with other dogs which appeals to me.
The jetboils you have to gap them. I don't know why, but they get bent in shipping or something from the factory.

Bend the contact tip until you can see spark when you hit the button, and it will work fine.

The one on my MSR pocket rocket deluxe I can barely even bend. It's pretty thick. Luckily haven't needed too.

👍I'll give that a try on the 50% one. The other doesn't even click so I doubt it will help there.

She is and we actually have a 5 day old litter on the ground right now with some available pups. She is a retrieving fiend. From goose, swan, sage grouse, pheasants, Huns, fox (training), mountain grouse. The avatar pic is from our VGP right after passing the 400 meter blood track. She has blood tracked and recovered a deer and elk (while pregnant) for bow hunters and she got an assist on a bear blood track this year. If you Facebook check out pics on "Deutsch Drahthaar vom Verrückten Jäger". She's not as fur hard as my older Draht. All my Drahts have had a great switch in the house calm couch potatos, but hunting machines when time to hunt. Let me know if you'd like to know more.

Sounds like it might be a good fit. I shot you a message over on your Facebook page so we don't derail this thread.
