Bumpstocks banned

Its a test and only a test. They are doing this just to see if they can get away with obviously overstepping their authority. It will be challenged in the courts. All they need is for liberal judges to go along with it, and a traitor or two on the Supreme Court. If they get away with the entire Constitution and Bill of Rights is dead. Get some popcorn and hold on to your seats folks!!
not to mention the other deliberately contrived (Soros open borders) way of killing our country - bringing in millions of "diversity" immigrants from 3rd world crapholes where the people are pre-conditioned to want totalitarianism and total government control, and then telling them to go out and vote for the Statists, so that they can say overthrowing the constitution is "the will of the people".
I'm a descendant of people who were here when the Constitution was written. And I welcome any people, from anywhere, who want to come here to enjoy the liberty that my ancestors so wisely created. But I don't want an invading horde who comes here and starts screaming for totalitarianism as soon as they arrive.

Our right to bear arms has nothing to do with hunting as many today like to profess!

I was being kind. After all this is a PUBLIC forum :)

I am not one to throw a revolutionized under a bus and be undergunned by a law of the government....world war 2 the German citizenry buried their own weapons in the fields and yards to keep them from being taken by the government....if you need a bumpstock so badly bury it......keep it....
I would rather take all the billions of ammunitions away from each and every governmental law enforcement officer.....hell my next door neighbor was a game cop with 100000 rounds of various in his garage....what do the rest of them have.....our sheriffs department that are sworn to protect and serve the citizenry of the US is undergunned..but if asked I would stand next to any of them....

I'll add this, separate from the issue of gun rights and the politicization of it, and that's how the slippery slope of a free market shows itself. We can talk about the marketing of bump stocks, cars, pharmaceuticals or whatever and at the end of the day, if any one of those poses a serious health or public safety issue, it should be addressed. I'm not making any judgments one way or the other but it's a reality that is often overlooked in such issues.

I'm no fan of bump stocks. I think they are stupid. Like I said, this has nothing to do with bump stocks. This is a test of unelected government power overstepping elected government power. Frightening.

my guess is we will now suddenly see a "mass murder" with a binary trigger-- the binary trigger will be next for "re-defining" its definition-- I'm sure they will "re-define" pistol braces again also

I'd imagine that the manufactures of bump stocks will try to challenge the new "law"

Only a fool would think they will stop at bump stocks if they get away with it. They will use their newly granted power in every branch of the government.

BTW, they cannot outlaw binary triggers without also outlawing pull/release triggers on $40k over and under shotguns. Then they will **** off a whole new class of people, with money. Pass the popcorn.

In what branch of the government havent they already taken advantage of the citizen....
I was just in an osha class...the cost they fine people is up over 72 percent in the last couple years.....and they get to use the money however they see fit........robbery at its cleanest....
State and city taxes voted in by the committee's.....
This isn't Robin Hood.....
This is the sheriff of Nottingham....no offense officers....

Why don't anyone take a look at why people have started doing mass shooting I think it's mostly because of the social media getting people all worked up that didn't exist before it's
Invention Cuz it's never the fruitcake that's behind the triggers fault like the gun makes them do it all it is a power thing the first thing you do if you want to control everyone is take there means to fight back away just my 2 cents

Simple: They have no desire to solve the problem. If we had less crime, we would need less government. More crime equals more government. If crime rates fall we need new laws and more folks working for the government to enforce them. Government can only grow, never get smaller. Welcome to the enlightened, you are now a deplorable.

You listen to the audio of the Vegas massacre? I judged the rate of fire to be a full auto with a slow rate of fire. So I'm off this crusade.

If you oppose this Trump Admin, decision, I think it most consistent to oppose the ruling that outlaws personal ownership of machine guns. Good luck there. While you're at it, ask if you're doing yourself any favors in the defense of 2nd Amend rights. The NRA gets it. This cause is a complete loser. A losing fight. Best way to lose a fight is picking the losers.

Most gun owners will not slaughter people with a full auto high capacity firearm. All it takes is one psycho. A 'right' to have fun is the justification? Again, good luck with that. Might as well beat yourself with an ugly stick.

Have fun with firecrackers, if they're legal where you live. I live in the last frontier, and not even a humble firecracker is legal in my jurisdiction. Responsible for burning down multiple houses and that was the end of them. Never killed anyone. Illegal here. But the bump stock has killed a number in Vegas. Hmmmm....

Maybe this is simply common sense. And not the devious beginning of a conspiracy to take all our guns away. Should personal 'rights' supersede the common good. There are 1000s of examples that demonstrate they do not.

Well this should ignite a few bottle rockets. Some will have already departed earth's gravitational field. Where bump stocks aren't restricted.

Man I love you and Trump, but you are missing the whole point. A government agency has redefined the definition of a law passed by Congress and signed by the President. In this case the definition of a machinegun. Bumpstocks are now included, which no one in their right mind cares about. Not about the bumpstocks. They only picked this particular fight precisely because no one cares about bumpstocks and are likely overlooking what they are actually doing and it should be frightening to any citizen of this country. Tell me I am just an old fool and should just trust them and I will STFU.
