BIG 8mm?

Along with the 338-378 Weatherby.
I'm sure those could be necked to 8mm.

I have a smaller 8mm now. It's like a 7 Weatherby necked up to 8mm. It shoots the Hammer Hunter at 3,054 feet per second from a 24" barrel.

I turned the belt and rim down so it fits a six lug Weatherby.

After shooting my big 7, I thought a big 8 would be fun.

I have an 8mm REM Mag that I shoot 200 gr TSX at 3050 FPS. It did not like the 200 gr NAB as much as the TSX
This rifle shot thru TWO mature bull bison from about 80 yards. Can't imagine you'd need more penetration than that……

..I don't know spike, 3000+ for 250 grain might be a little push for a 8mm mag case..maybe in a 30 inch barrel..
