I've had a pile of rifles over the last 35 years, enough for 3 48 gun safes full and a 12x12 gun vault room in my house. One of my favorite semi custom rifles is H.S. Precision. I've never had one shoot outside their 1/2" guarantee, most have been in the 3/8 ths area. I've paid a lot more for custom built guns that haven't shot as good. Cooper builds a good rifle. There are many more quality rifles out today than ever before.
Not sure I understand this? What's wrong with a carbon fiber in weather? my brother in law has a Christensen in 338 lapua, I saw him go underwater with it across his back crossing a river, he slipped and fell on the rocks. No issues with that gun in weather. Has it topped with a mark 4 leupold, never hurt it either. We have hunted from -30C in late mountain goat season to +30C in the early fall seasons. I like it so much I bought a fierce in the carbon edge, am I missing something here???the christensens look sweet. i'm just not crazy about the carbon fiber barrel shroud. if this was a benchrest rifle i might go that route. but after what i did to my 300 rum elk hunting this past fall i want an all weather tough rifle. if the rifle looks like a ferrari i would never take it into the brush. lol
Y'all trippin sako carbonlight all the way.
If you want to be limited by the very short magazine in long actions.
