Best overall powders for 25 06

My 26" Ruger #1 in 25-06 pushes 90gr Absolute Hammers to over 3600 with RL16. I've shot 4 deer with that load so far and none of them required a second shot and none ended up being more than maybe 20 yards at most from point of impact. 1 bang/flop, 1 staggered about 10 yards, and 2 ran in a short circle before piling up. Had another buck do the same circle thing when hit with a 6.5CM using 85gr Hammer Hunter going over 3400 fps. In 40+ years of deer hunting, I've never seen the run in a circle thing before. Now, 3 out of 5 deer I've hit with Hammers have done that. I find that odd.....but I really like not having to track deer now

Hey all hope everyone is well. Wondering what the best powder is for 25 06 100 gr TTSX.I realize all guns are different. Just wondering if I am missing anything. Thanks
Chiming in and do not mean to derail this thread. I am helping a buddy with his 25, trying to get a good load with 115 Bergers and H4831SC, can anyone share a recipe? Or same bullet with H4350? I am using his Hornady brass and GM210m's, getting so so results thus far.

Thanks!

PH

I found a table you might find useful.

I use IMR 7828ssc with my Berger 115's. Very accurate. Shot it at 32 degrees and at 70 degrees same group.

Which 100gr c&c? Are you choosing or your cuz?

They're not all created equal, and with the velocity you can get up to, you may actually be better off with a mild load that bug holes.
Sorry for the delay in responding, had some unexpected things happen in life.

He brought me a box of 100 grain Speer btsp. He's hunted with his 300 WM pushing 165 Speer btsp for years with tremendous success. He's hoping to have similar results with the 25-06. Keep in mind, we're western NC hunting 150 pound, occasionally a little bigger, deer. Does are 120 or less normally.

I know he does not want to go to an all copper bullet so I might try to sway him toward the 120 Speer btsp. Thoughts?

Edit to add, his 25-06 is a 22" Savage 116 I believe. Don't have it in front of me at the moment.
