N540 87gr Berger's an 115 Nosler black silver tips. Savage an sako 87 in savage an 115 in sako. Never let me down
I'd try h4831sc and work my way up to 56.7 or so depending on the gun.Sorry for the delay in responding, had some unexpected things happen in life.
He brought me a box of 100 grain Speer btsp. He's hunted with his 300 WM pushing 165 Speer btsp for years with tremendous success. He's hoping to have similar results with the 25-06. Keep in mind, we're western NC hunting 150 pound, occasionally a little bigger, deer. Does are 120 or less normally.
I know he does not want to go to an all copper bullet so I might try to sway him toward the 120 Speer btsp. Thoughts?
Edit to add, his 25-06 is a 22" Savage 116 I believe. Don't have it in front of me at the moment.
I shot R#19 with the 87g Hot core, win case, win primer, awesome on deer, also shot IMR 4350 with the 100g Speer btsp, work up to these loads Where accuracy will be very close to a hot load for the rifle. Federal brass is junk, will not take any pressure.53.5 gr RL19 for 100 gr TTSX
