Best Budget Custom Action Currently

Anyone try the Shilen DGR? It's pushing the OP's budget, but I've been interested in a switch barrel rifle I can do bolt head swaps on.

Dont think you could go wrong with any mentioned here so far.

One that I'm kinda interested in n might be worth looking at is the PT&G B-12 or B-52 actions. They're $730 right now but I could of swore I've seen them for $650 a few times.

Anyone have any experience with the PT&G actions?

If I have to go $1000 or under I'd try to buy a used defiance deviant or a new kelby atlas or defiance tenacity. I still have one Stiller predator and one Stiller tac 30 too though and really can't Complain about any of them although I like the integrated recoil lug and scope rail on the defiance deviant the best. A used one of those can be had for around $1100 sometimes.

I'm curious about the custom actions, do any of them have a long Tang measurement? The longer it is the better it'll hold a heavy barrel

For less than 100.00 more I would go a Borden. But I have have also built 3 rifles on the GunWerks GRB actions also, I got them at the first release sale for $745.00 at the time, I think they are 850.00 now. They are very solid actions with some nice features like borden bumps, field strippable bolt, NP3 coated one piece bolt with removable knob, pinned scope base and barrel lug. Cut for wyatt box. The Atlas is a nice action also.
Agree 100 percent on the Borden and your right on about an $1100 price point. I built a custom 300 Win and very happy with it. Also have a Surgeon 591SA which is a step above including price. Good luck.
