Best 25 caliber to consider on a build.

Just a 25 Souper. If faster go with a 25X284.
Now if you want a SA with more speed -then a 25 Souper AI???
Still intrigued with a 25 WSSM. We helped out a few LRH members years ago with the 25WSSM and they had some really very good shooters!

Whats the h20 capacity on the 25 wssm?
I think a 25 wssm with a 40 degree ackley shoulder on it would look pretty darn cool, I might have to build me one someday.

I haven't fired that yet, made a dummy long ago, then changed my build to a 25SS, 72gr capacity in the SS at 1.950 case length. But I've got the reamer for later.
Max is 2.01 long

Yes, 25 Creedmoor with fast twist barrels shoot 131, 133, 134, 135s at hunting rifle speed and can be slowed down for PRS style competition. I am shooting 134s in my new 25x47 but loaded "slow" for PRS - 2690fps. My 25x47 will go faster but I choose not to for PRS.

Did you consider a 25 GT I believe Alpha makes brass for it

Thats the last piece to my puzzle then the reamer is getting finished up. I'll be shooting 133's and 134's

Have some 145 BH's too but I think they will be well into the donut at a short magnum mag length (2.960-3.00) since I'm going with a dbm on this build.

I'm fairly sure I know, but it's designed for 3.2"+ actions.
I've never seen a Sherman reamer waste valuable case body space, lets put it that way.

Getting good brass or any brass at all? I found some winchester brass in stock but its probably not quality stuff

The .25 bug seems to biting. My hunting buddies have been bitten hard with it lately. One built a .25 Nosler, as his first foray into quater bores. The other a .25 Bobcat for AR-10 use and .25-7PRC. The one who built the Bobcat and PRC, has been using the .257 Roberts and .25-45 for years.

I started with a .25-06 years ago. Now I'm down to just a .250 Savage, happily using 100 grain bullets for everything. If I were to get another .25 cal rifle, I'd probably do the Creedmoor. Easy to find brass, and it's basically a .250 AI that I've always wanted to try.

Plain Jane 25-06 is a killing machine, AI is more better and the 25WSM is King IMHO
