My longest shot on deer has been 870 and it passed through with an awesome blood trail.Pretty much what I have found with the 140 H-VLD's. Ranges from 150 yds to 925 yds.
I doudt it.Could inconsistent performance with the 147s be from running them in an 8 twist?
No. Stability with an 8 twist is more than adequate, especially when you run it on JBM ballistics and take into account the polymer tip, and being that I am using it at 6600+ elevation, my s.g. is about 2.4Could inconsistent performance with the 147s be from running them in an 8 twist?

Totally!
