Badlands Precision Bullets thread - From BC to terminal ballistics

I do see plunger imprints on all three cases. You're about maxed out on pressure, I suspect, with plunger imprints on Lapua cases.
And cratered, not saying I don't push until I find the limit but the signs are there.

Well, my Norma is where it should be with the 275 SBD2's at 300. It ain't the fastest, but I'll take accuracy over speed.

Loaded up a seating depth ladder and I need to back the powder off a lot. Had two charges loaded with the same seating depth ladder, based on previous data, and that 195 grain BD2 was moving at almost 3200 fps for a couple shots.

But, oddly enough, the first group at .010 off, with the largest charge, shot the best group.

No stuck cases or heavy bolt lift, but the primers were pretty flat.

Excellent accuracy but you do have some pressure there. Might back off .5-.75 gr to get rid of the ejector marks.

This should be enough for my float trip.

Ended up with 78.8 grains of Retumbo behind the 195gn BD2 for my 300 PRC. Took it out to 1000 over the weekend and it was well within a minute of moose.

Averaging right around 2980 FPS. Seated at 2.910" CBTO.

Finally drew first blood with my 25-06 pushing a BD2 at 3550fps. Entry hole was the diameter of the bullet but the exit was about 1.5" after passing through about 6" of groundhog. Poor groundhog didn't stand a chance. I'll be chasing antelope in Wyoming with this rifle in two weeks so I hope to have some autopsy photos to share afterwards.

3550fps?!

Laser beams!

Another dead pronghorn at the hands of the 140 .277 bullet......

Distance about 450 yards. Impact about 2550 fps. This bullet is getting rather predictable at this point.

Shooter did not make a proper wind call on first shot, hit back a little, quartering away. Goat turned but stood in place and did not move, there was enough shock from impact that the buck did not run off. Second shot he corrected for wind and made a heart shot, tight to the front of the shoulder, buck dropped in his tracks. Terminal photos -

As per usual, inside showed heavy damage, significant exits with relatively little surrounding blood shot, good expansion characteristics and very dead critters. This is something like 9 or 10 pronghorn, a mule deer and an elk taken with this bullet, and it is doing great, and maintaining the outstanding .333 G7 bc, holding great impact velocity.

Many say you don't want under 1900 fps with a mono......well, even if that is the case, that is fine. At our elevation, even going a relatively slow 3030 from a 19" barrel, this is still going faster than 1900 fps at 1000 yards. Actually it's at 2000 fps, and would be even faster at the high elevations we hunt deer and elk at. It's a killer!

What is the difference of the Super bulldozer compared to the regular one? Is it just a higher BC?
