I saw some 230 hybrids a week ago at one place here. I see them or any of the others I will get them for you. I have 2 boxes of 215's I'm keeping now. Picked up some Berger 210. Sold box I had. Also picked up box of 212 ELDX and box of Nosler LRAB. $84 each. Ouch ! Berger 210 was $74. Powder at that place was great price. Retumbo was $42. $54 at rip off place by me. A lot of powders in $30 range.
Wish my gunstore looked like that! Obama made me realize the need to prep. I bought primers, powder or bullets every time I was in a gunshop for the last 4 years. Wish we could have got 4 more years of reprieve from the Ds but no such luck.
No your not the only one. I haven't purchased any ammunition in 2 years. Like you I have an ample supply to carry me through this self induced crisis.
I agree. We are just hurting our shooting and hunting buddies, as well as ourselves by hoarding. Doing so actually creates the shortages that we are complaining about, or at least makes them worse and last longer.
How do you describe what you need and don't? I used to just buy primers by the 1k, powders at least a couple of pounds at a time to try out, a couple of boxes of bullets to try out. So when I go to the store and they'll only sell 200 primers at a time and two pounds of powder and a box of bullets what am I to do? I have to keep going back to get it before it's gone. I used to buy smaller quantities to try and see if stuff worked, now idk if I'll ever see it again when I find it, so I buy as much as I think I could need if it does work.
It won't explode, but the intensity and extent of the fire will grow exponentially within seconds. It is absolutely an unexpected life threat to a Firefighter trying to put out your structure fire. If an interior crew were in that part of the house, they would suddenly be in an unexpected and very very bad situation. I'm a Firefighter. My fellow FF's know to not "go interior" on my house if the fire appears to be in the basement at all. It's a tricky and extraordinarily dangerous situation for us. And something that's not on most FF's radar, so to speak. If you happen to be on scene, please do inform the arriving FF's of what's in there. You could quite literally save the lives of those who are trying to help you. Don't mean to derail the thread, but it's a potentially catastrophic situation for us.
No kidding. I used to go to the LGS, and tell them I needed a certain powder and boxes of primers. They'd tell me it'd be on the next order, call me and I'd show up to a few pounds of powder and boxes of primers with my name on them. Now it's hard even trying to find the stuff you want.

I've torched off a couple pds at a time years ago. It sure does with intensity . I could imagine let's say... 200 lbs.. ? Not good. Plus all the loaded ammo cooking off.
Got plenty of mixed headstamp .223 brass if you need some.
