Thanks! I'll check again. I've checked 3-4 times since Christmas but didn't find any. I guess you have to be in the right place at the right time. I'm like everyone else, I have sufficient in the supplies for what I'm shooting but getting something new and different means you have a lot of new bullets, powder, brass, etc. to buy to be up to snuff with that gun/caliber. I'll keep my eyes open there. I hate to pay high prices but I hate more having a gun in the safe that I'm just looking at.

It won't explode, but the intensity and extent of the fire will grow exponentially within seconds. It is absolutely an unexpected life threat to a Firefighter trying to put out your structure fire. If an interior crew were in that part of the house, they would suddenly be in an unexpected and very very bad situation. I'm a Firefighter. My fellow FF's know to not "go interior" on my house if the fire appears to be in the basement at all. It's a tricky and extraordinarily dangerous situation for us. And something that's not on most FF's radar, so to speak. If you happen to be on scene, please do inform the arriving FF's of what's in there. You could quite literally save the lives of those who are trying to help you. Don't mean to derail the thread, but it's a potentially catastrophic situation for us.

As a former woodland fft I appreciate you posting this. It's one of the reasons I have less that 25lbs stored open or in a wooden box. A long time ago I had them sealed in ammo cans since I was oblivious to the hazard.

I do likewise. I watch for sales on items. I have a fair amount of powder, and primers, and bullets. The only two items is Varget and H1000 powders. I never used them before, and looking at it now. So I wait and watch. If I am in a store, I watch for sales on items even though I may have a stock of what ever. I will add. The worst of it is, I am having a wildcat being built, and really not sure as to which powder and primes are going to work out.
I had gotten a M-4 a few years back. Got some 5.56 ammo for it @ $0.28 per round. I noted in 2020 or 21 that there prices was $2.00 per round. So I began to watch the prices on that round. Now it's about $0.55 per round. It's just gauge on pricing. I watch the net all the time.
Powder is showing up more and more. Several months ago anything that came up was gone. Now some of the less used powders are staying around on the adds.
I find that reloading equipment is hard to come by at times too. Or there a waiting list for items. Items come up and are gone.

I was shooting up some Russian 5.56 and 7.62 in 3 different AR's last week in protest. In my Ruger SR556 I had a jam. I thought that's od. Drop mag and look in chamber. Case stuck in in. WTH. Was blowing up some tanarite. Yes I have that in my house also. Lol. I got home and pounded the case out with coated steel rod. Took about 3 firm hits. The rim was torn from ejector. The primer was major flattened. It looked like a large rifle primer... The fireing pin dent had a hole in it. No more commie ammo for me. I was getting 5.56 for $8.99. Armscore is $10.99. Hornady 62 gr. $12.99. Win. Same. Buy I can get 7.62 Armscore for $15.99 here. Buy American . Ive been lazy reloading for both I guess. Same with 9mm. Russian $17.99. Augila 115 $16.99 and 124 $17.99. Armscore 17.99. Rem. 18.99

Well, not to brag but i've got almost a full pound of retumbo on my shelf......

I'm guessing that Retumbo is on the fairy dust list for some time. Last October a GS in north Texas had two eight pounders and was claimed by a man that drove five hours for them. This GS doesn't ship.

My biggest issue is I have over 20 different types powder in the cabinet with only 2 lbs in same lot # of a particular powder. Load development can be never ending. Still fun, but not very efficient.

Take a powder and mix all the lots together into one lot. Do your development once and have all that extra to shoot with.

I traditionally would have about a year's worth of components on hand. As the latest tight situation dragged on what seems to be longer than prevous ones, I started paying the gougers prices to build up my stock and now have about 3 yrs worth of everything except small pistol primers. I'm at a point where I'll only buy something if it is at a reasonable price.

I'm short on barrels to satisfy the powder, primers, brass and bullets that I have in hand.
Loaded enough 260 Rem, 7/08, 300 Sav and 308 to chew through 4lbs of powder in the last two weeks.
I found primers at $6/sleeve the other day, limit two per size. Bought four, LP & SR. I give those to new reloaders to help them out, a bricks worth in the last six months.

I make it a habit to buy ammo at the same time as a new gun and I buy about 250 to 500 rounds and then set it by knowing I will be ok for a while

I do the same with every gun, buying bullets, brass and powder.

Not so sure I would be advertising how much powder, primers and brass I have at home. The ATF or some other a**hole maybe looking at this site for not so honorable purposes. I think PM on this site is the best way to keep things more confidential.

Im not as fortunate as others. I picked up reloading last year my dad handed down all his stuff cuz he stopped loading. I traded for a lot of the things i needed but still had to buy dies and projectiles. Then just bought an ar10 a couple weeks ago. So i had to buy some break in ammo. And now im on the hunt for dies projectiles brass varget/4064 and primers. I could use my 210m's but have been reading they might be to soft for a gasser. I wish i didnt have to contribute but im younger and got started at a bad time. Still saying reloading my own and getting great accuracy so im happy. $150 for a brick of 210's made me about die though
