Consider the Barrett Fieldcraft in 6.5CM at 5.2lbs. Available 18" threaded or 21" unthreaded. Great shooter, tough, reliable.

Why not get a bolt action AR10? Check out https://uintahprecision.com/ they make precision bolt action uppers for both the AR10 and AR15 platforms and they shoot lights out. Plus they will do any kind of custom options you want. I have two one is a 6.5 creedmoor with a 20 inch proof barrel. Thumped a milk jug with it at 1500 yards with factory ammo. I also have their 224 valkyrie with a 16"barrel. Just saying if you can have both why not.

The JPRE is what keeps your head in the scope round to round, especially in the AR. PRS blog testing found this break was the only one to do that, it moved the crosshairs 2 MILs off target. Have several its true, especially with 6CM. If you have multiple targets or wind adjustments for subsequent shots it helps. Its not the recoil but its the jump.

Build your own. But not AR-10, do LR308, as you were cautioned earlier the AR-10 is not standardized. LR308 is DPMS and AR-10 is Armalite, but if you need help there is a site full of ravenous helpers. https://forum.308ar.com/ But I voted for AR-10 because other does say much. The most cost effective source for compatible parts is Aero Precision. As for accuracy the real issue is bullet concentricity. Chambering in a semi-auto can be brutal to bullet tips and seating. In a 6.5CM a Hornady White tail SP will give you 7 MOA accuracy because of bullet tip obturation during chambering. A Sellier and Beloit FMJ BT will give you 0.7 MOA. The barrel is important. A 24" 5R 1:8 with R+2 gas system in 6.5CM will work well out to 1450 yards with commercial ammo. Yup Ubetcha they are heavier. Especially with the Hbar fluted barrel designs. That is what I had planned the aero m5 reciever set. I just used the wrong terminology. That's my go to brand.

The only reason ar10 is something I want is because I can build it myself and have about of fun.

Why can't you have both, I do?! My 2nd Gen PSA PA65 (1st run) upper, does .500 MOA with the identical bolt gun recipe FWIW.

This!!!! Exactly!.. My creed gasser isn't my primary hunting rifle. This 6.5x47L Gradous is..

Between me and a buddy we have 3 CTRs, 2 in 260Rem and 1 in 6.5CM. They just shoot, right out of the box. Smooth bolt, great trigger, threaded barrel and weight is fine. We reload for all 3, and as someone else mentioned, they are very to dial in on loads. The 6.5CM can also use Hornady brass which has been exceptional in my reloading. I have another bolt gun built off if a Rem 700 action that has been tried and worked over, the Tikka is still superior.
My 6.5 likes 123 custom comps over Varget, or 140RDF over H4350. Get the Tikka, you will never regret it.

I think the only thing I have heard bad about the tikka is the stock, how do you like it?
