I just built a 300 wsm with a anti x action with a 3-18-50 vx6 hd scope. I ran out of down adjustment. I removed cap and it wont turn down even with cap off. Has anybody had this happen the scope is new.

Have you checked your zero stop to ensure it is not bottomed out on the pin before it is actually bottomed out?

This explains better as to what I meant in my post. You just have to fast forward until you get to the Zero Stop instruction.
yes i pulled it off and the inside is out of adjustment when i manually turn it.

Leupold warranty will cover it. If it's out of adjustment I'd suggest you turning it into Leupold and let them fix it.

Oops my bad. I jumped to the conclusion that is was a Zeiss V6.
Thats what I'll do. was hoping I as missing something

Would you post a picture of the set up? Get some good pics inside the rings, MOA rail etc. your scope isn't touching the barrel by chance is it?
I'm a 1/4 off barrel and scope rings height is the same on both rings. I have trouble posting pics. The rear integrated rail is higher on rear built into action

How many minutes of elevation do you have? Per Leupold, you should have 75 minutes of travel. I'd make sure the zero stop isn't engaged and count your total travel.

^^^This^^^zero it to the bottom and then dial all the way up and let us know how many MOA you can go up to the stop at the top.
Im not certain its a good idea for scope dials to be maxed out? They are not really made to operate at the extreme ends.
There are other ways to optically center the crosshairs, then put back on the rifle and boresight and should be close.
37 moa less than two full turns

Not really sure what you are saying. The OP does not seemed to be concerned with "bore sighting" at this point, he seems to be concerned that he has a defective or malfunctioning adjustment turret and a way to check that is to go thru the whole adjustment range. The specs state 85 MOA. I find it hard to believe that any scope company says adjustment range = 85 moa (just over 4 revolutions in this case) but "hey we don't really mean 85 moa because the scope doesn't work past 82 moa worth of clicks". To be clear, I am not suggesting calibration is perfect at the far ends and I am also not suggesting you crank down on the turret to get two last clicks.
