Should be 4 full turns. Just FYI, I always use plastic covered pliers as I have trouble gripping that oval knob. Actually hurts my fingers to turn that thing I have to grip so hard. BTW, I also drink white wine, eat quiche, and bunt.
The VX6 have 75moa of total range.

Is it a 2nd gen Vx6 ?
Your supposed to zero the VX6's with the dial removed. After you get zeroed then install the dial at its zero mark. The dials are not designed to travel below zero (down).
