An Apology to Berger Customers

The Know-It-All is characterized as a person who communicates misinformation in a way that seems genuine and correct. This information is relayed in absolutes with the poster have no decent sense of self doubt that comes from accurate observations of real world experience on the subject they are discussing. A strong academic understanding of math and related theories cannot provide one with the type of knowledge that is obtained from many years of manufacturing experience and the actual shooting of countless rounds in real world testing.

I could smell this a mile away in the first thread and that's why I choose to stay away from it. As almost anyone in the engineering fields will learn, you will run into a PhD or some sort of academic that is truly incapable of operating in the real world. These individuals who are so stuck on the formulas they have studied are completely clueless when it comes to their relevancies in the real world applications.

That said, can you please run your new B.C.'s out to the 47th decimal? And also, report what you ate for breakfast the day you tested the bullets?

I will always support Berger bullets for target shooting and hunting. Berger bullets have posted 6" 10 shot groups at 1K for me in competition and filled my freezer with more meat over the last handful of years than any other bullet manufacturer.

People make mistakes when recording or publishing data. BIG DEAL! If they shoot good and you know where it's gonna hit every time from practicing with your loads, then who cares! That care about BC should be substantially less when regarding a short range bullet.

Look at the new Nosler Long Range Accu bonds for example. I know that there is no way those bullets can possibly have the BCs they are claiming, but I'm not out calling Nosler a bunch of idiots. They've obviously made an wrong "assumption" about their BCs and I'm sure that it is plain to see for anyone with extensive long range shooting experience. They are still a respectable bullet manufacturer that produces quality projectiles and they deserve our respect for their decades of service to the shooting community

I'll always stand up for Berger bullets to help them maintain their impeccable reputation because Berger bullets has completely revolutionized the long range shooting game and the accuracy level of all competitive shooting sports. And anyone who does not respect that is a fool.

I appreciate the comments and support. As I relayed, this is something that had to be said for both those who shoot Berger and for myself.

We are evolving our data and will keep pursuing the goal of having the most accurate and helpful data available for all of our bullets (not just the BT).

At the same time we have been focusing much attention on increasing our production output. This effort and the effort to clarify our BC data are pursued by different people so working towards one goal doesn't slow the other.

We have new machines in the process of being built in all three production departments (jackets, cores and bullet assembly) right now. In spite of a decline in orders we are going to continue building more machines until we get back to a point where we have product on the shelves.

Regards,
Eric

Good to know how the Berger BC values were generated as I also shoot a limited number of flat base bullets. Thanks for providing that clarification.

Sounds great :) However, I would like to make one request...

Please, please, please do not let the production demand for your bullets comprise the quality. I've seen so many times where the public finds out about something good then the demand gets so high that companies cut corners in order to supply the demand. I would much rather have a hard time getting my hands on a high quality consistent bullet than being able to easily find and purchase a mediocre bullet. Im sure Berger will always maintain their high level of quality control, but I just want to put that out there. Thanks again for making such a great product :)
