Many times the action screw torque is not correct for the particular rifle. one easy way to improve accuracy is to try different torque settings, There are basic torque values depending on the type of stock, the strength of the action. and the quality of the bedding.
I saw this Video and though it a good example of the difference torque makes. In the Video, he starts at the highest and reduces as he shoots groups. I prefer to start low and work up so I don't over torque in the beginning. I also shoot 5 shot groups but when I feel I messed up I will fire one more to confirm the bad hit was normal or just me.
Ether way you do the test it will tell you what torque is best in that rifle.
