I'm working with a new 6.5PRC with a Bartlein Carbon 8 twist. Testing a variety of loads using 125HHT, 140 Elite Hunter, 156 EOL,143 ELD-X, and 147 ELD-M. I'm testing at our club where the backboard is @ 420yds and the wind is (almost) always calm in the early morning hours.

I will usually start with a squeaky-clean barrel and fire several fouling bullets down the bore without much regard as to where they go or how they group. Yesterday, I loaded up some 140gr Accubond "blems" that have been sitting around here for a few years. I loaded up 9 of them with 57.5gr of H1000. Just for the heck of it, I loaded 3 @ .020" off, 3 @ .035" off and 3 @ .050". I shot all of them consecutively at 3 target dots.

1st 3 came in at 1.69" (@ 420yd)
2nd 3 came in at 1.20" (@ 420yd)
3rd 3 came in at 1.51" (@ 420yd)

If I did the math right, that would be an average of .35moa for all 9 shots at different oals.

At least yesterday, the no frills Accubond actually shot smaller groups than every other bullet. (and they were blems!)

You tell em Charlie! The performance on meat equals the accuracy in my experiences too. Great job, Paison.đź‘Ť
