Try to find brass for a .284An extra 100fps or more couldn't hurt
I've seen that too. And those cartridges are pretty interesting to me. I believe if the flash hole is standard size then it has reliable ignition. In really cold weather then large rifle primer is probably a better option.I wonder if those cases would perform well with small mag primers? Seeing as there are some small pocketed in 6.creed and a few other medium sized cases.

Yup that is a good point. A person could size 6.5x284 brass. But then the dreaded donut could be an issue. If I went that route then I'd look into an inside reamer if the cartridge was a good fit for me.Good point.

Long actions.One of my 284 Win hunting loads runs 150 ABLR @ 2975 with H4350.
It'll cross 3000 with RL17 but not quite as accurate.
That is why E Cortina and others are going to the 7/6.5 PRCWGood point.
