I did start a 338 Sherman Max thread, but I'll mention it here as well
Just because this cartridge is touted as a longer medium action type case, that is only necessary if you plan to run the high b.c. bullets like the 250 Berger.
Most, if not all, the Spitzer styles like a 250 Accubond, would fit nicely in most short actions. This would make a great bear/elk rifle that would still be effective to 700-800 yards with an estimated coal of around 2.960 to the lands.
This baby would run a 200 grain Accubond at 3200'
