7mm Blaser Mag experience?

Did you compare it to the 30 nosler? I was under impression that the 26/28 had same shoulder, and the 30/33 had same shoulder. In that case, start with the 30 and save a step in neck in down? Just a thought.
30 is 0.110" longer at the shoulder. It'd work but the 33 Nosler case gives just a little more room to chase lands or seating adjustability. It gives about 88gr water capacity with a bullet at the neck/shoulder junction.

Well a little setback in the build. I have all the parts and was putting them together and it looks like the inlet for the stock was done incorrectly so they are fixing it. I'm going to get some fired brass to the die maker this weekend and get that process going.

Looking into this cartridge and can't find any info online or in the forums. Looking at 175-195gr bullet experience with particulars such as load data and barrel length.

I purchased Dave 6.5's 7mm Blaser "Rogue" and have done limited load work-up with RL-26 which consisted of the following:
1. 195 Berger with 64 RL-26 yields 2890 fps with sd of 4 (3 shot group .243) 1 group
2. 180 Lapua with 64.5 RL-26 yields 3010 fps sd 9 (3 shot group .311) 3 groups
3. 180 ELD-M with 64.5 RL-26 yields 2960 fps with sd 8 (3 shot group .193) 2 groups

I have not chronographed the fireforming load of 69 Retumbo with 180 ELD-M, but it shoots in the low .2's.

I plan on trying some vvn-570 when the weather clears.

I played with the numbers in QL using N570 with my 7mm Blaser Mag and even used a 12in. drop tube to see how much N570 I could squeeze in one of my cases but I think you'll find you can't get enough of that powder in the case to make it outperform RL26.

Scouter, how long is the barrel on your 7mm Blaser Rogue?

My 7mm blaser is done so now to find some time to shoot it! Mine is chambered in a custom reamer throated for the 195's.

Hopine to get 2900 FPS with the 195 bergers.

Curious, why the 195's over the 180's? Even at only 3000 fps, which you'll likely get higher fps, the 180's do better than the 195's.

Also, that's a nice looking piece you've got there.

I ran the numbers on the 195 at 2900 and the 175 berger EOL at 3050 and out to a 1000 there is more energy at all distances and less drift with the 195's. 30 degrees and 5000 feet. Run the numbers and check it out. Surprised me also.

What does your rifle weigh as pictured? I'm curious because I'm after a similar setup only I am likely to get a MPA Hybrid chassis.

Very cool. I am trying to be good, but I have a chance to pick up a proof carbon in 28" for less than $700, I shouldn't.
