6.5 SAUM+Berger 156

24" Proof
.120" FB

I've had very limited range time. So far for me RL26 is showing better results than N570.

From the reading I've done it appears the 156 likes a bit of jump. I'm .035" to lands.

Running a prc, less capacity then the saum, in a 22" I run 2910, 55.5 rl26. Retumbo is usually 3 grains more and h1000 is 2 for similar psi evidence. In the short barrel retumbo was not that great. N565 is another option and my testing shows it to be competitive with h1000 and just a touch slower in FPS than 26, but I need to test a little more.
I'm running 2.950 coal and saami chamber at .188 freebore and .130 jump.

Sorry about digging this up from a year ago...what barrel twist rate are you all using to get these stable?

Berger's stability calculator is telling me my 1:8 is too slow or I need to start shooting at 3000' ASL on hot days. 🤦‍♂️

Hmm...not sure why it's telling you that. I'm running 1:8 at 500' ASL and no stability issues.

I'm shooting in Kansas. 1-3000 FAS.

pushing the bullet from 2965 to 3150 fps depending on load.

1:8 twist.

no issues until it's out past 1200 yards. Even then, I'm not sure it's the bullet performance, it might have just been my brass. My son put up an 8.5" group at 860 yards with the gun, but I only had one hit out of 10 at 1309 and was kind of all over the place. The gun is pretty new, so I'll be able to learn more this spring about it.
