Hit it in the boiler room and it's dead. We've killed a lot of elk withe the 143 eldx in a creedmoor. My friend shoots the 142. The penetration is great. They kill good.

I'm leaving fir an Idaho Elk hunt on the 8th.

I will be carrying a Ruger No1 6.5 PRC throwing a 124 Hammer Hunter pill.

Area we will be hunting is typically 400 yards or less.

Taking a 300 RUM as back up gun.

Tag soup!

Blue bird weather, nothing moving.

Hunted two areas for 10 days, rough steep country.

That's why it is called hunting, not shooting!

Already thinking about next year.

I bought my wife a Christensen Arms, 6.5 PRC for Elk hunting. Unfortunately she didn't get to pull the trigger on an Elk this year, but I had no doubt it would do the trick.
