I'll be building a 6.5 PRC in either a Defiance action or lone Peak. What length of do y'all reccomend? Medium or Long? I think short action won't load me enough to seat the bullets out.
This is a 6.5 PRC with a .188 fb reamerView attachment 165500 View attachment 165501 I just finished a Defiance Rebel XM, Defiance XM (Sunny Hill) BDL bottom metal, 24" Proof Sendero 1-7:5 tw, Hawkins muzzle brake, Trigger Tech Special set at 2LBS, Manner's EH-1, Talley LW rings with bubble level and a Zeiss V6 3-18X50. I have not shot it yet but plan on working up loads using 156 EOL Berger, ADG Brass and VV N565. I use Phoenix Custom Rifles to do all of my smith needs, Keith and Brad Johns have done a great job on 9 custom builds so far.
I'm doing the same fb on mine should be good for the heavier 6.5's.This is a 6.5 PRC with a .188 fb reamer
Hawkins hunter magazine with short mag spacer kit. Works great.I know it's an old thread -anyone have feedback on getting AICS mags to run 6.5 PRC on a long action? I want to do a Lone Peak LA for 7 PRC, but also want to spin up a 6.5 PRC barrel. I have heard good & bad experiences feeding.
Thanks!
