Nobody hypes the creedmoor. Boomers just say that so they can complain about it.

It kills stuff. Just like a 260, 7-08, 308, 243, etc. But it also has incredibly accurate factory ammunition available in large quantities. What's not to like?

I will report back how the puny 6mm creedmoor does on elk this year (assuming I don't get two in archery season). I believe it will perform just fine out to 1800fps (800yds)....but for science I will test my hypothesis.

Didn't all this start around the same time the needmore showed up?
You know I had a thought! It also started about the same time weed was legalized and everyone now believes that weed is some super drug that cures everything from syphilis to ignorance! Never thought about adding the 2 together but guess that is the key to all they hype about needmoor and weed.

The creedmoor hate just feels like an older/experienced generation Infuriated that the young kids don't have to "work for it" instead of being thrilled that the shooting world and long range shooting is exploding in popularity during a time when we need to attract every dog gone gun owner we can.
No one is infuriated…older/experienced generations are just that…experienced ….seen multiple market hypes / fads / fashions and gee jaws of all manner designed to capture the $$$ of the new believers.

6.5 Creedmoor is the first "internet" darling ….preceding it were 6XC, Dashers, 6.5x284, 6PPC, 260Rem and 30 other versions launching high BC miracle bullets at 2650fps…
The bashers are just mocking a familiar scenario of hype and discovery.

Thank God….finally a scientist weighs in on page 32.

This reply is exhibit A of the disconnect by reloaders/wildcatters I've been talking about.

I have never seen 6xc,dasher,ppc, or even norma loaded ammo on a shelf. It is not the same situation. I have never argued the creed is anything more than a 140 going 2700 terminally. We all know that wheel has been invented before.

Idk how many times someone has to say the market was just looking for someone to spec it correctly from the start, market the advantages of that combo and support it well but this will be the last time. The concept that someone getting into shooting should build a 6xc instead is hilarious.

You did read some of the post that prove there is hype over the needmoor. I hope for your games sake the 6 needmoor does the job. Good luck this season.

I have seen photos with the 115. Impressive terminal performance to say the least.

I love IPA's. Especially NE IPA's. So I guess it makes sense that I actually like the 6.5CM and find that it fits my needs well. I am looking for a 6mm caliber to go with… can't decide if I want to go 6 GayTiger or 6CM yet.

A non-issue, we've got plenty of elk……a few wounded and left to die just to prove a point just "comes with the territory" by some of those that feel the need to validate their insecurities! memtb

Unlike the avg Fudd that shoots his Weatherby mag once (3rds) prior to taking it afield to shoot his quarry in the arse, I practice year round, from field positions. The only people that feel the need to validate, or more accurately, compensate for their lack of ability are folks that choose the largest cartridge they can find. Perhaps they feel like with all that "power" they need not practice? Mpbr shooting with a 30-378 is one way to do it, it's archaic and dare I say stupid....but it's one way.....

The creedmoor is not only cheap to shoot, but pleasant to shoot, which means you will shoot more and become more proficient.

0 elk will be wounded, but I can guarantee 2 will be killed.

The "needmoor" with match bullets couldn't possibly kill a bull elk, and certainly not penetrate the vaunted "elk shoulder" and exit the beast.....oh wait.......
