Its about the best long range hunting scope you can get, IF light weight hunting is your goal. It is only 19.5 oz, has a great zero stop set up, enough travel for hunting applications, and fantastic glass. If weight isn't of any concern, and your more into banging steel than hunting, there are several that would give other benefits such as more travel, or equal or somewhat better glass.Not trying to hijack this thread but a lot of guys seem to be using the Leupold VX-5HD, i'm guessing people like it for a long range hunting scope....?

Barrel is currently at the smith getting threaded. Just got my 3 port beast brake in the mail from nathan at muzzle brakes and more so it will be a kitten to shoot here shortly.
