Even at 600 rounds that's more Antelope than I could ever eat!
I guess I should get it out of the box and put a scope on it !
Do you dial or use lines?

3400 and higher isn't a problem for the 6.5x300 Wby with the proper length barrel. Same goes for the 7x300 Wby with 162s. 28" will do it in the 7mm and no doubt the 6.5 also. 3400 is also doable with the 6.5x300 WSM with 140s.Im gona make it a 6.5 Dakota. My buddy built one. Runs 140 ab at over 3400 fps with less powder!
Yep i was running the 130 at 3550. In the Weatherby but tooks 93gr of powder the Dakota will do it with 76gr of retumbo. I have a 7mm Dakota i run 160s in at 3360 fps3400 and higher isn't a problem for the 6.5x300 Wby with the proper length barrel. The 64gr in 22cal been working really well on hogs! Running them 3800!Looking forward to your Hammer results.
160gr matrix? What twist u using for them! Mine shot the 130 140 AB. Well. Thats about all! I hear berger is coming out with a 155 to. I try d 142 ablr and 143 eld x. But never got it to group! Its still shooting the 124 hammer pretty decent but im gona re barrel it!700 rounds sounds like a pretty good run for a chambering like that, I'd say you got your money's worth.
Have you thought of shooting the heavier bullets? I've played with a couple of barrels chambered in 6.5/338 RUM improved and the light bullets at warp speed were VERY hard on barrels but the 160gr 6.5 bullets seem to be offering an improved barrel life so far.
