375-416 Barrett

Good question, I have the 10 inch x2 on my 338-378 I am guessing they have to set up for the extra 2 inches also it needs a longer bolt, and bigger dia. I was wondering if the 10 inch one would be long enough for the 416 case because it is only 250 tho. longer! I see they make the 408 bolt face for the 12 inch one

6.5' BAT $1250.00
10" BAT $1400.00
12 " BAT $2350.00

Add 3 1/2 inches for $150. Add an additional 2 inches for another $1000.00??
I LOVE BAT!! But, an uniformed guy like me might jump to the conclusion that there is a little price gouging here. lightbulb

Sorry for jumping topic,
Tod

The main difference is that the EX is ground-up for .50 BMG-class cartridges and the L is for everything from 6PPC to CT-class cartridges.

If you think the price is rip off, simply look elsewhere. Serbu provides an almost entire .50 BMG/.50 DTC rifle for $875 (thru tomorrow, 2/19).

Just my 2c.
My Sniptac 375 CT and 12 twist gets 3080 fps with 134 retumbo and 350 g SMK and is super accurate to about 1400 yds

My 375 AM 10 twist with 141 g Retumbo and same round gets 3300 fps and groups 12" at 2200 yds.

I m waiting for a 416 built on a 585 Nyati. Been some time.

Dang. So there's that much difference in case capacity? I was always told the AM and Snipetac were nearly identical. Is it a Snipetac or just cheytac not any improved version??

The Snipetac was built by Dave Viers and the case is slightly smaller but the load is what Dave worked up as most accurate. You could probably squeeze more speed out of it. I ve had it group 4 shots into 2.5 " at 1000 yds and it s my favorite long range hunting rifle.

Yes waiting for Dave to finish. Do you know who or what the experience with it is?

I know it sends really big bullets really fast but that's about it. A couple of guys on here I've 375 VM's but I've not seen many posts on those or the 416s.

Just out of interest are any of you or do you know of people building Snipetacs other than Dave Viers? It would seem some people are.
