Got my 338 Sherman Max. Defiance Rukus GA Hunter, 26" Proof carbon, AG Composite adjustable hunter, Hawkins Precision DBM.
Wanting to shoot 250g bergers. I have H 100v, N550 and N555. I don't do FB so can someone give me starting loads loads for these powders? Going to work up to max pressure with each powder checking MV and decide where to go from there. Thanks in advance

Be very curious to see what load you end up with using N555 and 250g Bergers. Have recently settled on 62.7g N550 with 1/10", 25" Hart at 2790fps with 250 Bergers.

I have to agree with Rich, couldn't get N555 to pressure up got to 67g @ 2672 fps thought it wasn't worth trying any further. Maxed out with Hybrid 100v 68.8g @ 2860 and N 550 64g @ 2820. Going to work up load with H100v. I'll post results

Compressed load at 67g N555? I musta missed Rich talking about N555 as I don't recall seeing anyone doing load workup with .388 Sherman Max and N555 yet. Thanks for the report and let us know how it goes with H100V. Be curious to see what your accuracy load with N550 is...?

K. Yeah. Doesn't sound like you're gonna get enough in the case then. Solves that question for me. Have nearly 9 lbs N550 and will stick with that.

Been impressed with how little these little cases grow even with annealing every firing. Took 4 firings to get to 1.995 length Rich told me to trim to. Tried a little neck turning to see if it'd help with a concentricity issue after FL sizing…several firings later and still no donut. 40 degree shoulder may be helping with all that, I suppose??

4300+ ft. lbs. of energy out of 62.7g of powder seems fairly impressive to me. 250g Berger isn't a bc super hero but is no slouch either.

I can't seem to get my barrel to eat the 250's…. With R17 I get great single digit numbers stacking a radar and magneto. I get a 1 point discrepancy between the two.
**** thing just won't shoot or repeat!!
