338 Lapua in a Savage?

I recall that the Target Actions are Large Shank. I am guessing that that is 1.120 but not 100% sure. I also don't know if they keep the 1.300 action diameter or not.

There is a guy on Savage Shooters, I think that it is Northlander that sells the actions. I would verify everything first

I'll add that they are 1.300" diameter and the large shank threads are 1.120".

Jim Briggs is Northlander. He is on here once in a while.

Sharp Shooter Supply also has sold target actions already timed and trued for $500.

Any update? Thinking of putting a 338 lapua improved on my savage target action. Having to pull the bolt to eject a loaded round is no big deal for me. I'm sure to loaded rounds won't drop in but should be able to place the loaded round bullet end first.
