My 338-06 Mauser 98 action Weatherby MK V 6 lug Take off 24" Barrel, Built for shooting Driven boar. The action and barrel were put together with an adapter as they are dissimilar threads, the scope is a Nikon 1.5 to 6 x 42 iluminated reticle.
The group was shot of the hood of my truck just off a bipod.

How is recoil? Haven't yet shot the 11.8 lb 338 Norma with a Terminator T3, so just curious. That is one heck of a sheep whacker!!!!

Samantha is a 338 Lapua , 30"bbl , McMillan A5 , Jewel trigger , tac 338 action , approx 16.5 LBS , 8-32 NXS , took the dirt blowing radial brake off and now using a muzzle brakes and more 4 port beast fantastic brake , 300 gr bergers at 2930 FPS . RL33 , fed 215 , Lapua brass . Mom gave me my Pap's gun cabinet a few years ago . I had to raise the top for it to fit . one target is 10 shots at 100 yards during bbl break in . the other target is three shots at 1110 yards , missed the wind call .

Recoil is 30/06, but the muzzle brake does cause a fuss for the shooter.

I now make sure I wear glasses and earplugs at the least.

Ya, I'm only 28 and have a constant ringing in my left ear, plugs and muffs are my preference when target shooting anything braked.

how are you guys storing these long bbl rifles ? I have a safe , but this one is to long . I raised the top of Paps gun cabinet for this 30" bbl to fit .
