.308 Win Load Question

Found that the load to be safe. Please look at Alliant web site the load is below their posted load. As with anything work up your loads and watch for pressure signs....
Checked Aliant's web site; no pressure's listed for that load. Who know's what it is?

Visible pressure signs are the least meaningful and accurate of all. I've shot 7.62 NATO proof loads with 67,500 CUP pressure. Mil spec standard max pressure's at 50,000 CUP. None of those cases had any visible signs of high pressure. Fired proof load cases looked the same as the same case fired at normal pressures fired in the same chamber and barrel in the two or three M1 Garands I did this with. Both standard and proof loads were made with the same lot of primed and powder charged cases. Only difference was 147-gr bullet in the standard load and 172's in the proof load.
