Try 80grs IMR 7828
What's the max load with that powder so I know where to stop in testing different charges.

The Berger Reloading Manual only list 7828 SSC for the 300 Weatherby Mag and the 210gr Berger with a starting load of 71.5gr and a max of 75.2. Ran this in Quick Load and 77gr's would be really pushing it.
7828 reads the same as 7828 SSC in Quick Load. All rifles and the variables are different. If I were you I would start at 71.5gr with the bullet seated where you wanted it and while shooting through a chronograph work up paying attention.
I would also give H1000 a try. Start 76.5
Does the Berger manual list the most accurate powder tested? What does it list as the average speed under max load?
Two powders that have been listed would be good ones to try. I have used 7828 with 180 gr nozzler in my 300 WBY. Killed a deer at 880 yds this past season. Waiting in shipment of Berger 210 Hybrid target bullets. From what I have read on here the VLD bullets have set to Jam to shoot accurately. At this bullet length they won't fit in the magazine. The hybrid target bullets were designed to shoot accurately with jump. Allowing to seat the bullet deeper.
The Berger Manual shows the max load of IMR 7828 SSC at 75.2 with a velocity of 2897fps for the Weatherby 300 and the Berger 210gr. The Berger Manual does not show the most accurate load. The most accurate load in a manual is ill relevant. Every rifle is different. You need to find the most accurate load for your rifle.
Berger shows the max load for the 300Weatherby and the 210gr Berger using H1000 at 80.5gr with a velocity of 2893fps. Never start out with a max load!!
I shoot through a chrono when first starting a new load just to watch the velocity as I look for the rifles max load with the combination I'm using checking for pressure signs and paying attention as I get near the book max. The chronos velocity is just a guide and the actual true velocity will arrive when you prove the load. There are some chronos on the market now that are very accurate and worth the money if you enjoy reloading .
