It's a challenge finding the action you want available in a lefty.

Yours look pretty much identical to what I want just a different caliber and shorter barrel obviously!

why 9.5 twist and not 10?

Just personal preference for me more than anything. A 10 twist will do everything you need it to do with cup and core bullets up to the 230gr range.

This is a 20" 300WSM I built with a 9 twist. Shoots 180-200gr bullets very well. Still breaking it in but I've got no worries reaching out to 800 yards at all.

yeah, not to derail or hijack ...but what are we looking at here? I am not familiar with that barrel contour or stock.

That's a Grayboe Eagle Pro stock, a Kelbly Atlas tactical action, X-Caliber 9 twist Carbon Fiber #3 contour with Cryo, TriggerTech Special, APA Hunter M5 bottom metal, and Meraki Machine Brake.

I like the idea of what the vortex guys built. Curious how much that 1:8 twist barrel would affect bullets outside of the 212 bore rider though.

I am going thru the same dilemma. I love 300wsm and used it for several years but drifted away from it....now however, I am looking to build a new rifle. I already have a tons of prc ammo and reloading supplies I have accumulated thru trades.
