Which scope ?

I just bought a used Remington 700 XCR 300 ultra mag with a custom trigger and muzzle break. I plan on doing some reloading and eventually get into some longer ranges ( up to 800yrds ? ) I haven't bought a scope yet and i'm looking for some advice for a good scope for under $1200.

I just picked up a Weaver Tactical 3.5-15X50 to throw on a dedicated coyote gun. I am very impressed with the glass. The turrets are repeatable, couldn't have asked for a better box test. For the price, $699.00 plus rings I don't see how you can go wrong. I think I could have gotten the 5.5-20X50 for $799.00. Check it out.

I am unsure of use for comp shooting, but the Leupold VX5HD at $1100 comes with a custom dial specific for you favorite choice of ammo, the Firedot is wonderful, and customer service is top notch and warranty is impeccable. Made in the USA.

FYI, this post was 14yrs ago. May want to check the date of the posts. But that is a great scope option. Thank you for your suggestion.
