300 win mag vs 7mm rm

You won't flinch or cringe your teeth together before you pull the trigger on a 7 Mag. On the 300 WM you will be like do I have to pull the trigger again?

yes that is actually how it feels when i shoot my dads 300 win mag with no muzzle brake it hurts even thought it weights 11.5 pounds

Comparing a 300 WM to a 7MM Rem Mag is like comparing my 2015 Ram 1500 4x4 4" lift 34" tires to all my friend who have Fords, Chevys, Dodges with 5.5" - 8" lifts w/ 35" - 37" tall tires. When going to the mall we take their trucks. But when we all go hunting together we take mine. Just get the 7 mag and never look back.

If you dont like recoil get a muzzle brake simple as that. I don't like brakes either I'm shooting my 30-28 Nosler without one.
Recoil pads make a big difference for recoil also not all are the same.

You could run a good suppressor with a brake and that would be that.

I'm just not into that kind of thing, I've got a 26" barrel on my 30-28 I dont wanna slap a suppressor on it then it's a mile long or cut the barrel back and give up performance.

Not to much to decide...

Go to the shooting range to find out who will let you try their rifles,,, a few in 7mm and a few in 300 Mag...

Take this learned info to the rifle shop and buy the 1 you liked the most...

Lifes to short to pick straws when you'll either get it right from the get go,,, or you'll change it up in 5 or 7 years...

Either 1 of those cartridges will fill your needs,,, heck,,, you got me and my friend beat in the game of Thunder since we have mid size rifles less than the 2 your looking at...

Keep it simple and get at it,,, you'll Grin from ear to ear with either of them I'm sure...

My 1:8.5 twist Bartlein is 200 fps slower than my 1:9 twist Hart. Is it common to lose that much velocity for a little more twist?

Necked up 28 to 30 cal
