I picked up my prc build last week. I'm looking for real experience with some load data for the 212 eldx, 212 lrx, 225 eld.
Those are the 3 I'm going to start with.
I have

I have looked in the books and at the load manuals. Just curious on what results you've got.
thanks, pat

This round the 300 PRC, has been getting a lot of verbal recognition lately.

I am looking forward to reading further posts form yourself regarding your load development with this round.
I hope that it performs for you a well as it looks!
I believe that you have done your homework and selected very wisely.

To that end, I hope that you will have a sub 1/2 MOA firearm at 200 Yards.
The Fly in the ointment right now is trying to find any reloading components at all.
Best Of Luck!

Thank you sir.
I was between a win mag or the prc.
I just wanted something different so went with prc.
I have loaded some 190 ablr bullets and had pretty good luck but I think I'd be better off with a heavier bullet as it was designed for. Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to get out and try some other loads with different bullets. My ramshot powders should also be in tomorrow. I'll be sure to post some pics and keep this thread open hoping we all learn a little something as the development continues.
Again, I appreciate all the response and the shared information.

81.2 - 3065
81.5 - 3067

fixing to start loading the above round and I was wondering the groups that you had above and possible the nodes. im Really at a toss up with what powder to start with on this build. I have ample h1000 and rl 26 but I have more experience with h1000.

if any body has thoughts on which powder to start out with on 210-215 grain bullets it would be Of thanks.

thanks

I had very similar results with both powders, I do all my seating depth testing at 300 yards

RL26 shot best at .013" off lands, H1000 was .015" off.

the measurements are using a Hornady gauge and I'm measuring base of case to ogive. COAL to tip touching lands is 3.730, so these measuring to tip would be 3.717 (RL26) and 3.715 (H1000). The H1000 also shot good at .028" off lands.

Just an update.
Ive ruled reloder 26 completely out. Worked up, worked down, messed with seating depth, changed bullets and didn't find a happy spot.

h1000 done MUCH better

ramshot magnum for the win for me. This powder is the perfect powder I'd say. Meters good, trickles good, burns clean and shoots dang good! I ordered me 16 more pounds of it...

I have been very busy so I don't have numbers yet but I will post some within the following week.

im all ears too if anybody else has found something that works for them.

Will give Magnum a shot on my next order. LRT has been great for me and meters just as well being a ball powder.

My only concern is about temperature sensitivity in both, but I haven't tested it.

been a big fan of h1000 in certain guns. Rl 26 has shot good in other but have not made a big impression on me over h1000

i have not tried ramshot.
I have an ample supply of h1000 and RL26 that I will go from there.
Im interested in what type of velocity I will have with above powder. With 215 Berger
I also have n570 that I may try.
my 300prc arrived yesterday that has been 1 1/2 years in the making.
slow breakin this weekend and go from there.
one thing I will say is the reamer I had made from JGS seems spot on with jump and OL.
200 th free bore seems perfect.
It was about 3.71 to the lands and I run about 20 th jump so it put me in good clip clearance to feed evenly.
