30-06 powder choice for heavy bullets

30-06 Ackley here (foster/mansom reamer that i like quite a bit), trimming is miminal bc growth seems minimal. Knock shoulder back .002" every time, neck size w collet die. 30" barrel, est about 2950 fps, H4350, sierra 175 TMK, fed 210M primer, lapua cases. Very happy w thatsetup. Cant run much bigger bullet (barrel is 1-13" twist... former Palma barrel rechambered... part of the reason for the AI version, 308 win chamber isnt cleaned up by reg 06 reamer).

Ive got a brand new bartlein .308" 1-10" barrel sitting here, Mod 400 steel too (woohoo!), as soon as i get my lathe up and running (its getting there... working on 3phase power) its going on. Going w everything the same except wanting to go to hornady 225 ELD-M. I primarily just shoot 600 and 1000 yards (mainly just steel plates)

H4350 is very temp stable, that was a big consideration to me, we can have 30 or 40 deg F swing in a day, 100 deg difference between winter and summer, wanted something i could shoot year round and not worry about ballistic differences or pressure differences

I love H4350, lapua brass, have 12 lbs of the former, 600 pieces (same lot#), zero plans to change unless i was just forced to...

I really loved all the 270 Win info, but I think the question was about slow powders for the 30-06 with heavy 200 Grn bullets. How some new powders are still hard to find, and what primers are needed to properly ignite those loads. So here is just an old school suggestion you MIGHT ( maybe ) want to try while you are waiting to get your hands on R 22. H 4831 with Win LR Primers in you 30-06 with bullets between 180 and 200 grns .

Rl22 is a bit too temp sensitive for me. Planning to pick up some h4831sc
