Anyone using the 284 Winchester for hunting, Im having one of my 280AI thats been collecting dust rechambered to 284 Winchester, I picked up some Peterson Brass and a set of Hornady Match Grade dies, going to try the 140gr Accubonds, 150gr Hornady CX bullets.
The JGS reamer my gunsmith will use has .150 freebore iirc.

Yep. I hunt with a couple. One is a short action that likes the 162 elds. The long action shoots the 175-180s superbly. Both at around 3000fps. Got started with a Win model 100 in a 284. Still have it and it's brother the 308.

I know several of older Browns.
