Been reloading for 25 or so years and have used various die sets, anything from lee, RCBS to Redding including the type s bushing set. I just ordered a 28 nosler, i know it's throated long to shoot the heavier bullets however I'm unsure exactly what bullet I'm going to shoot yet.

This is intended to be a hunting rifle and I plan on FL sizing.

What die set do you all recommend or what are you using I for your 28s?
Thanks

I just had tons of researching done on dies myself. I settled on Forster dies, the reason is you can seat VLD bullets without buying extra stems for such as Berger's, ABLR, ELD, etc. without leaving a ring mark just below the tip and above the ogive. Works very well for my hunting purposes and with consistent runout of .001"

I can't argue with Forster. They've treated my 300wsm very well.

I never used Forster I'll look into them.
Any particular set?

For me I buy their regular 2 die set and a separate seater die with a micrometer on top. The reason I do this is I set the regular seater to my "pet" load and use the micrometer seater to play with different seating depths or trying different types of bullets without fussing with my "set pet load" seater. It just gives me a piece of mind knowing that it's always gonna be the perfect every time without adjusting.

Redding would be first choice for me. I have had great luck with them. Had issues with others in 28 N for full length sizing. Just my $0.02

You just cost me some money. Great idea.

I do the same thing, works better than a pop up toaster

X2 on the Redding's. Ive had issues with the forster not being able to bump shoulders back enough for some chambers. I did have forster trim one for me that worked fine but for out of the box function in 28n Redding master hunters have been perfect.

Was the bump due to the shell holder being too tall or cases needing annealed?
