257 Weatherby + Scirocco

Anyone load this combo? I have read good things about this bullet, so I ordered a box today. I'm hoping it will shoot well. Guess I'll start with RL22 and go from there.

Sciroccos came in the mail today. I really like the way they look. I've got bullets, primers, cases, and powder. Now, if Blaser would hurry up and get finished with my R93, I could test out these new Sciroccos. Stay tuned. More to follow.

How did the Sciroccos work out?

Where you able to get a load worked up?

I assume you got the standard slow twist barrel and will be stuck with the same old standard low BC bullets.

Worked up a few loads but was not impressed. Accubonds and Sciroccos are two bullets my rifle has not been too fond of. Barnes 80, 100, and 115 will all shoot .25" with great speed. Bergers and Combined Technology shot very well also. I shot a muley in Montana last week with a 100 TTSX. At 280 yds. deer had baseball size hole as exit. I think for whitetails around home I'm going to stick to 80 TTSX at 3875 fps. and .25" at 160 yds. I have the Bergers and Sciroccos if anyone is looking for some to try.

I'm going to reload for my rifle and I want to experiment with a number of different type bullets and loads to see whats works best in it. gun)

Well, after doing a quick inventory, this is what I have if anyone wants them. One whole box 100 count of Berger 115 VLD, 13 Nosler 110 Accubonds, 82 100 gr.Swift Scirocco II, 3/4 box CT 85 gr. Bal. Silvertip, and 3/4 box CT 115 gr. Bal. Silvertip. I can let the entire lot go for $50 plus shipping. I'm gonna stick with Barnes for now.
