Have a few questions because I have been interested in the bigger .257s since I learned of your bullets.
1. So a 25-06, 25-06AI and the .257 Weatherby will all run in a Remington or WBY long action using stock mag well and floorplate?
2. Your .257 WBY reamer is set up for a LA using a stock mag well?
3. How much will it affect velocity if a 25 SAUM is set up for a stock Remington SA using the 131 gr bullet?

Is there any problem with building the 25 SAUM on a Remington long action using a BDL? Any modifications that need to be done with the mag well? Any feeding issues?

This is what I built too. I can easily get 3300+ w. H1000 and zero pressure from a 26" 1:7.5" Proof.
I was hard pressed for time last year to get it ready for deer season, and had an insanely accurate load @ 3175fps, so ran with that to save some barrel and brass life. But I will be playing with the hotter loads before pronghorn season in August.

Ive never had good luck with 7828 for temp stability. It makes incredible speed but I never knew what it was going to do. I take consistency over velocity all day. The laser will tell me what to say to the computer and after that its a done deal. High Velocity IMO is an old way to go about business.

Def won't argue about better powders being out there... availability is the issue right now. Have some RL26 on hand that will get tried as well.

As for velocity- nothing to lose in a hunting rifle. Push it as fast as the accuracy will hold and call it good.

The animal and bullet wont care what sent it there just how fast its going when it gets there. I plan my hunts for Velocity. All bullets are designed to perform from 1800-3200 some will go above that but I don't use them mostly because they are solids and suck for accuracy and have a bad BC (for the most part). I'll be in South Africa this month killing stuff with a 6.5 Creed and ill bring back video/pics. Remaining velocity is more important than MV
