would you have a rough idea on oal. touching the lands for the 25-284 and 25 prc reamers. and if possible also with the hunting bullet. staying in a short action is not a concern I just want to set this up once even if that means a custom reamer.

Everyone has different limits on minimum seating depth. If you're going to order a reamer instead of using our spec'd reamers I'd recommend ordering a sample pack of ACEs and setup one in a case to determine your needs and fit for your equipment.

BJ can the 25x284 be used in a Short action rifle with the 131gr bullet? Thanks

25x284 is not intended for short action. 25 Creedmoor is about maxed out in Short Action and that's how we designed it. Your not going to get a more a ballistically advantaged non-magnum in a short action than a 25 Creed without some fuss and fireforming.

Easy, low recoil high performance.

25x284 is awesome but needs LA.

I'm hoping to build a 25-06 AI in the next year or two to utilize these bullets and hopefully the new hunting bullets too. Will they work easily in a standard long action?

Yes LA will accept 25-06 with zero issues.

What does 25 cal offer over 6mm or 6.5mm?

Depends on what you're after. If you're after higher hit percentages at long ranges and high wind conditions the 131 ACE ticks all those boxes. 6mm will still outperform a 25 at short range but can't we all make shots at short range and the drop and wind drift are very minimal and correctable with the ultra-short TOF.

From mid range to long range the 25 will outperform both 6 and 6.5mm from the same parent cartridges. The 0.345 G7 of the 131 ACE will outrun any 6.5 bullet out of the same parent cartridge from the muzzle to over a mile. In 6mm the 257 will outpace the 6mm from 800-1000 yds depending on the bullet in discussion.

It all depends on your end use. The 6mm has its roles but there is no doubt it lacks signature, target energy, and gets a bit iffy in the wind at long ranges. It is great to 1200-1300 though for target uses. For hunting high performance 25 cal is a clear winner for ethical mid to long range.

Loaded round of my old stock 257 WBY Weatherby brass cases is 0.283". Please let me know if you see significant variance in different batches or brands.

3380 has been a common load for guys in 257 WBY and 131 ACE. It will be 1.5 months before I get mine going but I can't wait.

What is anyone using for hinged floor plate when using Remington sa for the 25prc I'm just starting the build but trying to get everything here so it all falls together thanks
