6mm Creedmoor if your running detachable mags.
.243 if your running a bdl/adl style bottom metal.
.243 is too long for most detachable mags.
Creedmoor's don't feed real great out of standard bottom metal.

I built a 243 only because my gunsmith didn't have a reader for the 6CM.
Tried 700 action, 28" Remington varmint contour 71/2 twust Bartlein 5R. McMillan A3 Sporter stock
4-20 Burris mil
Target was the first 4 shots. Not the load I shoot though

I have differing viewpoint.
243 case length is 2.045"
6mm Creedmoor case length is 1.920", allowing for a longer bullet length outside the case in the same length magazine, and maintains the 6.5 Creedmoor's 30-degree shoulder. Testing has found this extends brass life, as well as giving more room in the shortened case.
A. I would use a DBM with AICS mag for 243 to give more room for longer bullets. Advantage Creedmoor.
B. Creedmoor is shorter case so can seat longer bullets out further in a factory BDL/ADL magazine, 243 can't. Advantage Creedmoor.
C. Creedmoor feeds great out of standard bottom metal same as 243.
Experience or just regurgitation of stuff read online? There are a lot of people shooting the Creedmoor case out of internal mags and this is the first I've heard anyone say there are feeding issues.

The difference is negligible, both shoot well when made correctly, both feed well when made correctly. There is no real advantage between the two, or any other similar sized case besides commercial availability. Pick one and get to the range.
