I've been tickled with my Rugged Oculus, I run mine mainly popping nuisance squirrels and other vermin trapping. With subsonic ammo it's pellet gun quiet the bullet smacking target is nearly the same volume if using a rifle. It's a ball to use on a Ruger 22/45 lite it's very close to the dia of the barrel shroud looks great and balances very well. It doesn't bother the neighbors and I can usually whack 2 squirrels before they get jumpy. I run the pistol when checking traps and if the wind is blowing or a vehicle is going by any type of equipment running no one even looks up. I've dispatched raccoons in traps within 50yds of property lines and folks doing yard work never looked up.
I haven't needed to drop into an ultrasonic cleaner yet just normal tear down and some Hopes 9 with a tooth brush. Disassembly is easy enough and once cleaned it's easy to re-assemble.
