.2-.3 100 yard cold bore challenge

Well it was nice yesterday and I spent a little of it banging out some reloads. I just "had" to shoot that fourth round! 224 valkyrie, 75gr Hornady BTHP behind 27gr of CFE 223

Went to the range today with girlfriend. I shot six rounds. Remington 700 5r 300 win. mag, 26" barrel, front bipod, rear bag, on the bench. Federal premium with 185 Berger hybrids at 100 yards. Group measured out 5/8" x 5/16".

First three shots in slow succession. Labeled 1, 2 and 3.

Got my 270 sherman dialed in with Retumbo and 170 bergers a while back. 3040fps average. Three shots starting cold fouled bore. Repeated it yesterday with a very similar group but didn't take a picture for some reason...

From a trip out to the mountains yesterday...and this was just during routine load development/tweaking. I think I found a couple keepers. Doesn't meet the "cold bore" requirement but, I was happy regardless.

Brand new Remington 5R 20" barrel bone stock in .308 Win. First trip to buddies 120 yd range for load development. 2nd 5 rd string of hand load development using Peterson Brass, IMR 4064 and Sierra MK 168gr.

Top left was Federal Match- last 5rd break in shots. Cleaned rifle, took a fouling shot then load tested. Top middle first test, 5 rds, top right 2nd 5rd string, bottom left third 5rd string started to feel a little pressure.

Only 30 rds down tube so far.

Edit- sorry didn't realize cold bore until now.
