15x power binos

I have a pair of viper 10x42's and absolutely love them but a lot of my stands I can see upward most of 250yds and they just dont cut it at early and late hours as far as the zoom goes being able to tell rack characteristics. Would it be worth going with a 15x. I feel it would benefit me a lot. Thanks. Also what brands, trying to keep a budget under 500, but will be looking at used as well.

Can't skimp on glass quality. Just used a cheap spotting scope up to 45x in a hunt and ended up leaving it behind because I just couldn't see through it clear enough at long distances to determine between a log or a cow. Ended up sticking with my 10x42 binoculars with excellent glass and corrective elements that more than made up for where my spotter lacked. If you're still considering a higher power bino and maybe with use of a tripod, go for it. Just buy the best glass you can afford - that is what will make all the difference in being able to see detail even in low light.
