What is the 7LRM parent case? I like the steeper shoulder and longer neck. Would be interested to know what the water capacity of the case is.

It's the 375 Ruger. I have 2 LRMs. Just build a 7mm LRM and shoot the 195 EOL. We have shot elk at pretty crazy distances.

I'm way too invested in 6.5mm stuff to jump for 1/2mm.

Curiosity got the best of me last night. So I grabbed a fully resized 264 Win Mag case and I stepped up the neck in a 257 Wby case to .264 and checked water capacity of each case.

.264 Win Mag case measured 85.4 grains of water. Necked up 257 Wby case measure 86.8 grains. Where were you seeing 5 grains of difference in capacity?

Is it Weatherby brass?

I've found that Weatherby brass typically holds 3% or more water than other cases by different manufacturers... and that's why I love Weatherby brass!

Yes the necked up 257 was a piece of Weatherby brass.
